Loksabha Elections 2024: National Congress Party (NCP) Chairman Sharad Pawar has called an urgent Meeting of the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance in view of the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024. According to information received from the sources, there is a possibility of an early discussion on the allocation of seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at this meeting.

Ajit Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Balasaheb Thorat, Silver Oak, Bhai Jagtap, Nana Patole, Ashok Chavan, Suraj Thakur attended the meeting. At the meeting, in addition to discussing steps to strengthen our unity, the plan for victory in all upcoming elections will be discussed. At the meeting, MVA leaders are also likely to discuss steps to avoid making rhetoric against one another in front of TV cameras, which they say sends the wrong message to people.

There will also be a discussion on the spectacular performance of the Congress in Karnataka.

Earlier, the news of Sharad Pawar’s resignation from the NCP had sparked political turmoil. However, he later recanted this resignation as well. At the same time, according to Indian Express news, Sanjay Raut, the chief spokesman for the Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav Thackeray, told The Indian Express: “The meeting takes place against the backdrop of the spectacular performance of the Congress in the Karnataka elections. The meeting has been called by the head of the NCP, Sharad Pawar. For our part, the head of our party, Uddhav Thackeray, and other leaders will be present.”

He said: “At the meeting, we will discuss how we can face the voters in the upcoming elections. The Karnataka elections have shown that the BJP can easily lose even if it tries its best to win the election and uses questionable methods. If we work together, we will win more and more seats in the Lok Sabha and we will also win the assembly elections.”
