Theft | Arrested for stealing from Taj Bagh complex, seized cash along with a two-wheeler

Nagpur. The Police arrested the defendant who had carried out the robbery incidents at the Bada Tajbagh compound under the Sakkardara police station. The arrested defendant was said as Bhagwan Maroti Radke (50), a resident of Kolari, Chimur. Police have registered a case on the complaint of Shahnaz Begum Sheikh Ramzan (55), a resident of Yasin Plot, Bada Tajbagh.

Shahnaz is a security guard at the Tajbagh Dargah compound. She was on duty for him on campus on the afternoon of May 9. She had gone to drink water keeping his bag near the stairs. Meanwhile, Bhagwan stole the bag containing Rs 25,000 in cash. Shahnaz had deposited this money for the marriage of his daughter. The police registered a case and investigated the CCTV footage.

The defendant was seen carrying the bag in the footage, but could not be identified. The police put their clients to work. A journalist identified God and revealed his whereabouts. The police arrested him while intoxicated. During interrogation, Bhagwan confessed to the robbery and Rs 18,630 was confiscated. A two-wheeler was also found with him.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had stolen the vehicle from the Taj Bagh Complex itself. Inspector Dhananjay Patil, PSA Sachin Savarkar, Sanjay Singh, Police Chief Prakash Wankhede, Balu Giri, Praveen Dhumne, Govind Deshmukh, Kevalram Bhogre, Omprakash Mate and Kishore Hate carried out the action.
