Electric vehicles | Increased number of electric vehicles in Nashik, international companies can start charging stations

nashik: Under the Electric Vehicle (EV) policy announced by the Central Government, Nashik Municipal Corporation has earmarked 106 places for Charging Stations in the city. International companies including Tata, Reliance have shown response for the construction of charging stations in the city.

For the first time at the Nashik Municipal Corporation for EV Charging, companies working internationally have shown their willingness to work, which is an important thing in itself. Behind this, there is talk of increasing the number of electric vehicles in Nashik. Explain that considering the cost of conventional fuel, rising inflation, and the need for vehicles, the central government has adopted a policy to encourage electric vehicles.

Municipal Corporation prepared a list to start charging points in 22 locations

An equal number of charging stations will be needed as electric vehicles are promoted. Therefore, the central government has decided to finance the construction of charging stations in major cities. The Municipal Corporation has drawn up a list to set up charging points in 22 locations. So, as per the National Cleanup Policy (N-CAP), charging stations will start at 35 locations. In the first phase, charging stations will be started at 57 locations. The Electricity Department of the Municipal Corporation has launched the bidding process to start up the ‘EV’ station.

The decision will be made on May 17.

At the pre-bid meeting, internationally operating companies have shown their willingness to work in Nashik, including Tata Power Tire Rex Transmission Pvt Ltd, Energy Solutions, Reliance Jio BP BG, Innoza Ltd, Nina Hnds Ivigo Charge Pvt Ltd , Ratiosan Tech Electricals , Rajson Electronics, S&T Pvt Ltd, Punam Ventures India Pvt Ltd, Unique Enterprises, Labs W BI Industries etc. A decision on the matter will be made on May 17.

In the first phase, companies working internationally have been willing to start 20 charging stations, which is a big problem for the people of Nashik. Due to this, it has become clear that the use of electric vehicles will increase in the city of Nashik.
