Thane: In Maharashtra’s Thane district, two scrap trucks were destroyed in a Fire on Monday morning. Local body officials gave this information. Avinash Sawant, head of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC), said the fire started around 6am in the Shilphata area on the Mumbra-Panvel road.

He said there were no casualties in the accident. According to the official, cardboard and cotton mats were kept in the godowns. He said that after getting information about the fire, the local fire brigade and RDMC team arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire within two hours. He said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. (agency)
