Sonbhadra News: Interstate Hemp Smuggling Gang Exposed, Additional Police Superintendent Revealed On Police Line

Sonbhadra News: Crime Police and Robertsganj Kotwali have been successful in unearthing the interstate ganja smuggling gang. Along with the arrest of five gang members, a 70 kg quintal shipment of hemp has been recovered. The market value of the recovered consignment is said to be around 20 lakhs.

In the police investigation, information has been received that the UP Ganja consignment was brought from Andhra Pradesh via two vehicles. The ganja was carried to Chandauli via Sonbhadra. Police arrested five members of the smuggling gang along with the two vehicles carrying ganja by besieging them near Hinduari Mor on the Varanasi-Shaktinagar highway. The person, a Chandauli resident to whom the shipment was being delivered, was also identified. The police are looking for him.

Police Headquarters Additional Superintendent Kalu Singh revealed the success on the police line on Monday afternoon. He said that under the direction of Superintendent of Police Dr. Yashveer Singh and under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) and Jurisdictional City Rahul Pandey, the Robertsganj Police, SWAT/SOG and Surveillance Team to effectively curb the drug dealing, regarding the ganja smuggling scam I was collecting information. Based on the information received during this, the two vehicles carrying ganja were intercepted on Monday near Hinduari Tirahe, near Ishwar Chand Degree College.

The license plate of the Maruti Brezza car seized in the investigation was found to be UP67X9091 and the license plate of the Tata Yodha van UP65CX1012. At the behest of five smugglers caught on the spot, 170 kg (01 quintal 70 kg) of ganja (worth around Rs 20 lakh) was recovered from the vehicle. In this regard, new actions were initiated by registering a case under the NDPS Act Section 8/20 and Section 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC at the Robertsganj Police Station.

Additional Police Superintendent Kalu Singh said Santosh Yadav son of Rajendra Yadav, resident of Tejopur Naubatpur Sayadaraja Police Station, Vanshanarayan Yadav alias Pappu son of Dharamdev Yadav resident of Visupur, Balua Police Station, Rahul Kumar Chaurasia son of Angad Kumar Chaurasia, resident of Indiranagar Sayadaraja Police Station District No.13 were arrested Mohammad Bablu Farooqi s/o Mohammad Shaukat Farooqi r/o District No.1 Ambedkar Nagar near Sayedaraja train gate PS Sayedraja Raja Raine s/o Jalaluddin ward 13 resident Indira Nagar PS During the interrogation Sayedaraja Chandauli was told that this marijuana was brought from all over Andhra Pradesh to Rajan aka Golu Singh s/o Omprakash Singh Ghoswa which was being taken to Kandwa Police Station, Chandauli District. To avoid getting stuck on the road, the number of vehicles is changed.
