The Department of Public Works is responsible for various types of construction work, including maintenance of government offices, but the department’s tardiness is well known. No job is completed on time. The work continues for months. Recently, the administration of the university entrusted the Department of Public Works with the construction of a new gate at the Institute of Sciences. The department prepared the door. The name of the institution was also written in front of the door. This has changed the appearance of the institution’s premises, but the trees in front of this new gate were not cut down at first.

Has no sense

Even now, students, faculty, and staff use only the old door. There is a lot of vacant space on campus. Shelter is also built at the rear. But due to public works, the repair is neglected. Trees are not pruned for years. Being within the city, the old building is a special attraction, but the situation is deteriorating due to lack of attention. It was said that it has been a long time since the gate was ready but it has not been opened yet. PWD has not responded to this matter, while the organization is still waiting.

In this regard, the head of the institution, Anjali Rahatgaonkar, said that the door is ready but so far the delivery to the institution has not been made. Because of this, only the old door is being used.
