Surya 42 is being made in 3D and is being talked about for release in 10 languages. It is reported that Penn Studios has bought its Hindi rights. The studio owner Jayantilal Gada bought these rights for Rs 100 crore. This is the highest amount ever paid for the Hindi version of a Tamil film. The Hindi rights of the RRR film was sold for Rs 140 crore which was a Telugu film.
The story of Surya 42 is told on the basis of reincarnation. In which a character of Surya will be shown living the time of 1000 years ago. Disha Patni will also be in the lead role of this film. The film will be released across India. The movie was announced in September of last year. Much of its filming has been done so far and is said to have been done on a budget of Rs 200 crore. Suriya can be seen playing five characters. PEN Studio previously bought the Hindi rights to films like RRR, Vikram and PS-1.
