The farmer had planted gram on his two acre field, harvested it, and stored a gram pile in 15 hundredweight of the field. On March 1, an unknown person set fire to a gram stack stored in the farmer’s field. Gram worth Rs 75 lakhs was burned to ashes in the fire. Upon Texas Thackeray’s complaint, the Darwha Police have registered a case against the unknown.

Another similar incident came to light in Umarkhed tehsil. Prasad Badre, a resident of the Gocharaswamy district of the city of Umarkhed, has a farm in the Rajurwadi complex.
