yavatmal, In the rural villages of Darwha and Umarkhed district tehsils, anti-social elements Set Fire to the Gram heap kept in the field. Farmers have suffered greatly as the gram was burned to ashes.
According to the information received, there is a farm owned by farmer Tejas Thackeray in the Hatola compound which is under the area of the Darwha police station. The farmer had planted gram on his two acre field, harvested it, and stored a gram pile in 15 hundredweight of the field. On March 1, an unknown person set fire to a gram stack stored in the farmer’s field. Gram worth Rs 75 lakhs was burned to ashes in the fire. Upon Texas Thackeray’s complaint, the Darwha Police have registered a case against the unknown.
Another similar incident came to light in Umarkhed tehsil. Prasad Badre, a resident of the Gocharaswamy district of the city of Umarkhed, has a farm in the Rajurwadi complex. The farmer had stored a 25 quintal pile in his field. On the night of March 1, an unknown person set fire to a gram stack that was kept in the field. Gram worth Rs 1 lakh was burned in the fire. On Prasad Badre’s complaint, Umarkhed Police have registered a case against the unknown man.
