Gas attacks on 10 girls’ schools in Iran and more than 100 hospitalized

Daily digital news desk: A few days ago, there were reports of poisoning of students to prevent women’s education in Iran. Hundreds of students had to be admitted to the hospital in that incident. This time there were reports of poison gas attacks to prevent the girls from studying. On Wednesday, it was reported that girls’ schools were attacked in several cities, including the capital Tehran. More than a hundred students had to be admitted to the hospital for respiratory problems. Some of them are in serious condition.

Iranian media reports that hundreds of students have been sickened in gas attacks in the past three months. On Wednesday, fundamentalists again attacked 10 girls’ schools in the northwestern city of Ardabil and the capital Tehran. Among them, 7 schools are in the city of Ardabil, 3 are in Tehran. It is known that 108 students had to be admitted to hospital in the attack on Wednesday. According to the Iranian government, fundamentalists have carried out this attack to prevent women’s education. Meanwhile, according to a source, students at a high school in Tehransar, western part of Tehran, also fell ill from the poisonous gas. It is not yet known how many students have fallen ill there.

Among them, the administration arrested three suspects in the girls’ school poisoning case. Various Iranian media claimed that at least 1,200 schoolchildren fell ill in multiple poisoning incidents between November last year. They had to be admitted to the hospital for respiratory problems. Among them, 800 female students fell ill. Iran’s Health Ministry said nitrogen-based poison was used in Qom, which is mainly used as a fertilizer in agriculture.

In this way, anger grows among ordinary people across the country over the poisoning of students. The opposition claims that the government is not taking adequate measures. According to Iranian human rights activists, those who poison and gas schoolgirls are comparable to the Taliban and Boko Haram. Keep in mind that these two groups are strongly opposed to girls’ education.
