A discount of up to Rs 22,000 can be found on its automatic variant and up to Rs 45,000 on the Cng Variant. Maruti’s Celerio is making profit of just over Rs 45,000. The hatchback is available at a discount of Rs 45,100 for the CNG variant, Rs 36,000 for the manual variant and Rs 21,000 for the automatic.
Maruti’s WagonR gets a discount of up to Rs 42,000. Discounts of up to Rs 32,000 are offered on the Swift hatchback and the DZire. The company is preparing to increase the prices of its cars starting early next year. Maruti said it had to make this decision due to the increase in cost due to inflation and recent regulatory rules. In the September quarter, the company’s net profit grew almost four times to over Rs 2061 crore. The company said in a regulatory filing: “Due to inflation and recent regulatory norms, the company is under increasing cost pressure. Because of this, it has become necessary to reduce some of this burden by increasing the price. The company will increase the price from January next year.” It will be different according to the car models.
Some other car companies may also increase the prices of their cars. Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has also announced a price hike for bikes and scooters. Maruti Suzuki sales increased to around 1.60 lakh units in November. This is an increase of about 15 percent compared to the same month last year. The launch of new variants of the Baleno and Grand Vitara have helped the company increase sales this year. Last month the company’s sales stood at 1,59,044 units. There were 1,39,184 units in the same month last year.
