Under this corridor, efforts are being made to reduce the cost of transportation between India and Russia by about 30 percent and cut the time from 40 days to almost half by using sea, rail and road transport.

INSTC is a 7,200 km long transportation project for the movement of goods between India, Iran, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Central Asia and Europe.
