Irene Cara, the vocalist and entertainer most popular for performing and singing the title tune to the 1980s films Distinction and Flashdance, has passed on. She was 63 years of age.
Cara kicked the bucket at her home in Florida, said her marketing specialist Judith Moos, who declared the news on Cara’s virtual entertainment account Saturday. She said the reason for death is “right now obscure.”
“Irene’s family has mentioned security while they process their melancholy,” Moose composed. “She was a lovely skilled soul whose inheritance will live on perpetually through his music and movies.”
Cara was naturally introduced to a common Puerto Rican and Cuban family in the Bronx district of New York City. As a youngster entertainer, her credits included normal times of the 1970s kids’ show The Electric Organization.
