Tomatoes

It has been a slow start for the Tomatoes in the polytunnel, I’m usually picking ripe tomatoes at least two weeks earlier. I’m growing a new to me cherry variety, Sweet Aperitif which is amazingly productive – just look at those vines.

Sungold is doing is well and makes a partner to Sweet Aperitif. After this photo session, I picked the ripe ones and added them to a beetroot and carrot salad – yum.

The beefsteaks are coming along, with luck will be ripe for picking by the end of the month – the mozzarella and basil are waiting…

How are your tomatoes progressing this year?
