Update 1.38 for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has arrived, bringing a host of changes and improvements mentioned in the Patch Notes. Update 1.38 is quite small and only brings a handful of changes to the game. 

Once the update was deployed earlier today, the most notable changes include fixing some shader caching issues and an issue with unlocking rewards relating to Penance. But oddly enough, once the update went live, a change was made that fixed the disappearance of some cosmetic items. But that change ended up breaking other things and resulted in the creation of Slendergryns. Fatshark decided to roll back the cosmetic items fix for now, but did confirm that they’re working on fixing it again and deploying it soon. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Update 1.38 Patch Notes

• Fixed an issue with the shader caching system (which caused the stuttering and hitching after the last patch).
• Fixed a bug where some cosmetic items dissappeared, leaving empty slots on your rejects. this will be temporarily roĺled back due to the accidental creation of Slendergryns
• Penances that required other Penances to be completed will now be unlocked and items rewarded as expected when you enter the Mourningstar. One such Penance is the Veteran Sharpshooter “For the Emperor” Penance.
