As we said, Silica Pearls are one of the integral materials during your transition into the technological era. You can use this material to create electronics, which is an essential component of most technological devices and buildings. So, as you might understand, you need a lot of Silica Pearls to develop the game’s plot.

Depending on your stage in the game, you can get Silica Pearls in many ways. First, you can find and search Giant Beaver Dam. These creatures make their homes in the shallow waters of the warm regions of the island, so you can get some Silica Pearls soon after you start your journey. But often, you will find only a few Silica Pearls or nothing but wood.

Secondly, you can get Silica Pearls as a random drop by killing the following enemies:

  • Trilobite
  • Leech
  • Eurypterid
  • Ammonite

Silica Pearls are not a rare drop, so you should be able to get at least 10 of this material from each enemy. But since these creatures live in the sea, you can not kill them without high-level equipment. So this method will be helpful in the late game.

Best Way to Farm Silica Pearls in Ark: Survival Evolved

While the above methods can be helpful, there is one more efficient way to farm this material. To find hundreds of Silica Pearls in Ark: Survival Evolved, you must go to the northwestern part of the game world. Equip fur armor (it dries up instantly when you get out of the water) and search the shallow water between the snow and ice plains. Diving into shallow depths, you can find a lot of white shells, from which you can get 5-20 Silica Pearls.

The bottom is full of these shells, but do not forget to go out on land to warm up. You can mine Silica Pearls with your hands or a pickaxe, but you will only get a limited amount of materials this way. If you’ve progressed far enough in the story and tamed the Anglerfish, use its bites to get the max amount of materials. Although, Otters can also be helpful if you haven’t met Anglerfish yet.

Finally, it is worth noting you can find Silica Pearls shells throughout the sea, but at great depths. So you can collect Silica Pearls in these places only if you visit the depths for other purposes. Otherwise, the shallow northwest is the best place to farm material.

ARK: Survival Evolved is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
