One of the most difficult of any map, like in Abandoned House in Demonologist, is figuring out how to exorcise the Spirit there. We all get the basic concept involved in discovering the identity of the spirit haunting the house, but each map has entirely different steps required to exorcise the spirit. For instance, in Cyclone Street, you must change all the house clocks to the spirit’s Time of Death. Keep reading to learn how to exorcise the spirit in Abandoned House in Demonologist.

How to Exorcise the Abandoned House Spirit in Demonologist

To Exorcise any spirit within Demonologist, you will have to first discover what time of entity you are up against. Doing this requires you to use all of the Tools you are given as you enter into the map and test the areas around the map in order to provide evidence of the spirit. After you’ve marked all three evidence types in your tablet and have chosen the correct entity type, it’s time to get down to business.

You will see that once everyone on your team has made a choice in guessing which type of spirit they believe is haunting the map, the second level of objectives are now unlocked, and you are able to complete them. This portion of the haunt is where things get a bit tricky. Below, you can see the objectives:

The first of the three new Optional Objective you unlock is to find the silhouette of a woman sitting in a chair. This can be found anywhere within the map, and it doesn’t specifically have to be on a chair, either. The chair is a part of the silhouette. In order to find this, you must use an Ecto Glass tool and look through it as you make your way through the house, checking every room. It’s best to do this quickly, as the spirit is much more likely to hunt once you’ve discovered what it is and spent a decent amount of time in the house, draining your Sanity. When you find the silhouette, the objective will automatically be marked as complete, and you can move on to the next Optional Objective.

The second of the three new Optional Objectives is to have the ghost blow out the candle. For this objective, you will need to make sure that you have a candle in your loadout and that you’ve brought it with you. Take it with you into the house and once you’ve found the room the ghost is currently residing in, light the candle by clicking the left mouse button and set it on the ground. You don’t have to be in the room for the ghost to blow out the candle. However, if the ghost begins to hunt, the candle will automatically be blown out, completing the objective. Otherwise, you can just sit around and wait for it to blow it out. Ghosts don’t like candlelight, so if it is lit in the ghost room, it will likely be blown out fairly quickly.

The third of the three new Optional Objectives is to take a solid photo of the ghost. For this objective, you will need to have the photo camera in your loadout and take it with you into the Abandoned House. The best way to complete this objective is to sit back and wait for the spirit to begin a hunt. Once it does, you can see the spirit phasing in and out of its physical form as it chases you and your teammates. In order to take the picture, look toward the spirit with your camera-equipped and click down the left mouse button in order to take a photo of the entity.

Now, the final Object will be unlocked: Exorcise the Spirit. To exorcise the spirit, you must go through the house searching for the spirit’s fingers, which can typically be found on the floor or on tables and counters. Once you’ve found all 5 of them, take them down into the basement and place one in each of the containers surrounding the summoning circle. Once you’ve done this, the spirit will be exorcised, and you will have completed the Abandoned House map in Demonologist.
