With a world noob game, I mean the easiest game in the world. And I won’t tell you just the easiest games in the world. No, I will tell you the most fun and easiest games in the world that every noob can play, both for PC and mobile.

A noob, noobie, or newb, is in my opinion, not a negative term. It’s a playful term that people can use to tease you, meaning that you’re a beginner, not very good at the game, or when you made a (funny) mistake. People could also use it negatively to make themselves feel better (I’m better than you, noob). But this is not how this word should be used, in my opinion.

I also call myself a noob at some games where I’m not an expert at. As long as you set the right tone with it, and most of all: have fun, it will be fine.

So, are you ready for the best noobie games? These are both for youngsters and old-timers.

I’ve researched a lot of them and I only picked a bunch that must certainly enjoy you. Or at least, one of them. I’m excited to share them with you. Gaming is a lot of fun, and you don’t need to be ‘’good’’ to enjoy it!

Stanley Parable

If you want to play the easiest world noob game, that’s mysterious, silly, and fun (don’t look up how it ends): play the Stanley parable! In this game, you will get messed with your mind. It all starts with Stanley, called employee 427. He’s sitting in his office, pressing buttons all day. He seems happy with his job (but in fact, he isn’t). It looks like he’s being controlled by the company, just like the other employees. They’re using all the employees like robots. One day, the whole building is empty where you, Stanley, could walk out of the office and try to figure out what’s going on. There’s a narrator that keeps talking depending on where you go.

Now it's up to you, will you listen to the narrator, or go your own way? There's a lot of ways to go in this game and you could complete it in a short time (or it takes hours to figure it out). So don't think there's just one route (eventually there's one to ''complete'' the game). It will be very fun and confusing to first play it (trust me) but if you like silly, mysterious games where you can just walk around, mess with the narrator and figure out what's going on and how to complete it: try Stanley parable. Once you finished the game, you will be like: really, was it this? You will never expect it. Tip: it will be very funny to watch some of your friends play it, too.

Rollercoaster Tycoon

Tycoon games are always doing great. Rollercoaster tycoon is one of them, where you can build your own theme park. Earn money, build more attractions, attract guests, and most of all: enjoy what you create! I massively enjoyed the older Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, but with the newest releases, you can actually sit within the attraction itself. You will be able to have a first-person view and experience the rollercoaster as if it is real life. Now, you don't have to create a sustainable massive money-generating park, you can go after any goal you like and go as crazy as you want – making it one of the best world noob games out there. which was a more apt description of the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Are you looking for a spectacular open-world game in the Wild West, from which even 40-year olds say they can’t get enough of? Then you should try Red Dead Redemption 2. You can rightly call it a world noob game, as it has a fantastically written story mode where you can set the difficulty level to what you prefer. You can look at Red Dead Redemption 2 like GTA V, but then in the Wild West. With stunning views across the mountains, the prairies, and wildlife like grizzly bears, wolves, bull gators, and more (well, this could be more frightening than relaxing) you will have an amazing experience for sure.

Prefer to ride at high-speed through the prairies, whilst shooting birds? You can do it. Want to relax in a charming little village, and play poker with other players? Do it. Want to shoot other people? Well, you can do anything you like. Red Dead Redemption is a great game to immerse into a new, fantastic world with beautiful graphics and a true wild-west experience. You don't have to be good to play this game. You can play this from your couch on the screen with a controller, or with a keyboard and mouse. Rockstar takes a while to create games, but once they do: they will never disappoint you.

Minecraft

Next, we have Minecraft which can rightly be called a world noob game because everyone can play it. Even though this is a creative game where you can craft a lot of things (by placing items in the right order on the crafting table), you don’t need to know how you should craft. The game will tell this to you, or you can look it up. Anyway, Minecraft is great to play survival mode. Imagine when it starts to get dark, it rains, and zombies come around to get you? You can then dig a little cave for yourself where you hide. You're like: what can I do here now? I have nothing to fight with. Well, what about starting to dig and collect coal, iron, and other materials you might need?

You could also explore natural caves that go very deeply, find diamonds and create the best gear. It has been a very popular open-world game for years that everyone can play Be careful of the lava though! You could get some extra fun when you party up with some friends. Build, explore, and fight together to create your empire. People already have made amazing things and buildings, or little minigames to dive into. You can also play Minecraft Dungeons, which has a more clear goal. You have to progress and adventure through multiple stages where you also have to beat a dragon boss. 

Animal Crossing

A very colorful, fun, and world noob game that everyone can play is Animal Crossing. This game lets you set up your own alternate life on a pleasant island, where you gather and craft items, fish, plant trees, catch bugs, decorate your house, and more. You can customize your island in nearly endless ways. There's also the possibility to visit islands from others, let people visit your island, and trade items. Your island will be populated by gently weird animals. At first, this game was called Animal Forest which was a more apt description of the game. Once it was released internationally, the game was rebranded as Animal Crossing. his game is seen as a social simulation game or a communication game.

Firewatch

Another world noob game that's worth your time, is Firewatch. This game is a first-person walking simulator with an engaging story, where lots of events start taking shape and you gradually become more paranoid. Firewatch can be seen as an adult game, as it has realistic adult dialogue and in the game, you will deal with serious issues. Some things may, or may not be there. You are Henry, who took on fire watch duties in a forested national park. He wanted to get away from his wife who was dealing with Alzheimer’s. His only connection to society is with Delilah, who’s a woman monitoring the area. She talks through your walkie-talkie.

Through their daily banter, you will soon find yourself in mysterious things such as murder. Henry gets forced into it and a heartbreaking reveal counters Henry’s inability to come to terms with his wife. You will be able to influence Henry’s outlook on life with very small details. It could take you about 5-6 hours to complete it.

Firewatch won multiple awards, like ‘’best narrative game’’, ‘’best 3D visual experience’’, and more. This game is one of the best first-person games from the narrative genre. In the right hands, video game storytelling can be so strong! The Guardian even called it ‘’a triumphant and involving piece of emotional storytelling.’’

Overcooked 2

Would you like a cooperative game where you need to closely work together in the kitchen, with lots of chaos and a timer that runs out? Then Overcooked 2 can be a lot of fun (and it’s an easy game to get into)! Within this game, you have to combine certain tasks and ingredients to prepare the meals that are asked for in the restaurant. The more finished dishes you deliver in time, the more points (and stars) you’ll get.

One star is enough for this world noob game to pass to the next level, but if you're competitive you could try to go for 3 stars. Then, you have to work together and think about a strategy to make it work. You can even throw food as well, and suddenly you will find yourself in an air balloon that eventually drops to the ground with multiple fires to put out.   

Stardew Valley

If you don’t mind 2D games, this very relaxed farm game can be a lot of fun. Especially when you play this in Coop mode where you share your farm with someone else. It's all developed by one person: Eric Barone. He did all the art, music, programming, and sound. It's very amazing… There's a lot of depth to this game. Seasons matter, as these determine which crops you can grow, what items you can find, and which events will happen.

You can expand your farm, go into the mines and fight monsters, chop wood, go fishing, and socialize or build relationships with the villagers. Every single villager has their own character. You can even remember their birthday and give them a birthday present (great to increase your bond). Another great world noob game! And what's the goal? To help the community center to improve the town (but you can also create your own goals).

The Sims 4

Everyone can play the sims. I have played Sims 1, 2, and 3 so much when I was younger and I truly got immersed. I never really tried Sims 4, though. But from what I’ve seen it looks very promising, especially because it gives even more options to make it realistic. From how people look, to how your house would look like. Within this world noob game, you are the ‘’boss’’ that determines what every person is doing.

You can create your own family (or one person), buy and build houses, start careers, practice skills, start relationships, and basically anything you can think of. You can create your own story and experience, and you don't have to be a good gamer to play this game at all. So if you'd like to play a life simulation game, where you can become and do everything you want: play the Sims!

Spyro

A great platform game that looks and feels great is Spyro. Here you are a dragon that attempts to restore peace in multiple worlds. You will encounter and fight enemies, collect dragon eggs, gems, and more to make progress. Everyone can play this game and have fun, and therefore it's an amazing world noob game – which looks very nice and chill on the eye too. And you won’t be alone, as Spyro has a buddy called ‘Sparx’ which is a dragonfly.

He helps you to indicate what Spyro’s health is like and defends him from enemy attacks. Even though this game came out in 2018, it’s a remaster of the original Spyro trilogy (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon) that was released between 1998 and 2000. A more challenging game that falls within the same platformer genre is Crash Bandicoot.

Now we arrived at the best world noob games for mobile! No matter where you are, you can always play these games (make sure to download them first if you go somewhere without an internet connection). Let’s get started!

Angry Birds

Angry Birds is easy to play and a lot of fun. The goal is to use the angry birds to get rid of obstacles and pigs! It's a casual puzzle video game, as these picks are usually blocked by stone, glass, wood, or other creative structures. By moving up and down your finger you can determine how low or high the birds fly. After some time playing this world noob game, you'll become more skilled at aiming both at the right spot and the right angle where the pigs are. What's fun about this game is that every bird is different. For example, the yellow bird goes very fast whereas the blackbird explodes. The white bird drops explosive eggs!

Temple Run

Temple run has been out there for a very long time, and it's still addictive and entertaining. Multiple versions have been released, where you are being hunted by a monster. You need to keep running and don’t bump into buildings, obstacles, or fall from a cliff because then the monster gets closer to you. There’s a chance you land on a ledge or grab a tree root and survive. Once you get eaten by the monster: the game is over! Your character can go left or right on the path depending on which side you tilt your phone. When you swipe left or right, you will turn. This is necessary to be on the same path and don’t bump into anything and die. The goal here is to get as far as you can. Everyone can swipe and tilt, and after some practice, you'll become a pro at this world noob game.

Subway Surfer

Another great, endless runner mobile game that's a bit like temple run, is Subway Surfer. Your goal in this world noob game is to get as far as possible without hitting obstacles or the trains. There are certain abilities to pick up in the game, such as a jet pack that automatically steers for you and collects coins, a skateboard, boots to jump high, and more. Some trains are brought to a standstill, some trains are driving. The further you get, the faster everything becomes! You don’t have to tilt your phone (only swipe) and instead of getting followed by a monster as with Temple Run, you are followed by a grumpy inspector and his dog (he wasn’t happy you sprayed graffiti on the train).

Fruit Ninja 2

How does it sound like to slice as many fruits as you can, whilst avoiding bombs and other obstacles? Then Fruit Ninja can be very enjoyable. It is very easy to play plus you can challenge yourself and see how long you can last in Classic mode, practice your fruit-slicing skills in Zen mode, or set a high score. You can choose from a wide range of blades with different stats and power as well. Fruit Ninja is very action-packed, addictive, and satisfying (to see the sliced fruits on your screen). A must-play world noob game! Everyone can become a slice master.

Action Potato

A simple, but yet fun and addictive world noob game can be Action Potato. It is great to pass time, it has simple game mechanics and you will already start to improve after a few tries. Now, how does it work? Instead of asking your friends to throw potatoes at you and catching them in your trustworthy pots, you will instead become a master chef, capable of all kitchen tasks. You won’t burn your hands on the pots or take a potato to your face. The goal is to catch fresh potatoes to make potato stew. Your pots jump by touching them. Avoid rotten potatoes! Good to know is that once they ‘’eat’’ a rotten potato, they come back if you eat a heart.

Doodle Jump 2

A completely different game than the rest, that’s very addictive, is doodle jump. The gameplay is fun, simple, and challenging. It takes place in a goldmine where you are searching for a gold nugget bounty. You have to get as far as possible by jumping on the platforms and collecting gold. When you miss the platform, you will fall into the endless abyss. Meanwhile, monsters could appear whose sole purpose of existence is to mess up your progress. You have to shoot or dodge them to keep jumping. Everyone can jump in this world noob game! Are you ready?

Monument Valley 2

Want to dive into a world of story and illusion? Within Monument Valley 2, you have to guide a mother and her child on a journey through magical architecture. There are lots of delightful puzzles and illusionary pathways. You'll learn the secrets of Sacred Geometry. The music is on point, the colors, the design, everything is great and relaxing about this game. Therefore, it's not surprising that it won an award for Apple Game of the Year. If a new adventure set in a beautiful and impossible world sounds fun to you: try out this world noob game! No matter your age or skill: you can play this.

Jetpack Joyride

In this real-time competitive puzzle game, you will fly through a lab whilst avoiding obstacles and collecting coins. Be aware: this game is very action-packed! Especially when you get to the end, a lot of things could happen. Like, rockets flying your way, turning obstacles with fire, and you can use all kinds of abilities to make your progress easier. You’ll fly with a tiny little rocket that you wear on your pack (a.k.a. jetpack) and there are many different jetpacks to choose from. A water jetpack, laser jetpack, fruit jetpack, and a lot more! Even though Jetpack Joyride is a bit tricky to master, this world noob game is simple to play.
