Green Bay Packers vs Denver Broncos Preview

The Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos are set to face off in a Week 7 NFL showdown on Sunday, October 22nd. They will kick off at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. In the end, the Packers are 2-3, while the Broncos are 1-5. Therefore, this game is an opportunity for both teams to get back on track. Yet, it is also a chance for one of them to fall further behind in the playoff race.

Packers Offense

The Packers quarterback, Jordan Love, is the new leader of the Packer’s offense. Although he is a rookie, he has been playing well this season.

The Packers also are led by a talented group of weapons. Some players include wide receivers Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs, tight end Robert Tonyan, and running back Aaron Jones. All in all, Lazard is a big-play threat with his speed and athleticism. Additionally, Doubs is a rookie who has shown a lot of potential. Tonyan is a versatile tight end who can catch passes and block. Lastly, Jones is one of the most explosive running backs in the NFL.

Broncos Offense

The Broncos quarterback, Russell Wilson, is the head of the Brocowho is the head of the offense. He is also in his first season with the team. Wilson is a nine-time Pro Bowler and is a Super Bowl champion. Therefore, he has a strong arm and is very mobile. Wilson also has a knack for making plays off-script.

In the end, Wilson is surrounded by a talented group of offensive weapons, including wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, and running back Javonte Williams. Sutton is a big-play threat with his speed and athleticism. Jeudy is a versatile receiver who can play inside and outside. Okwuegbunam is a former basketball player who has athleticism to spare. Williams is a shifty running back who is also a threat in the passing game.

Packers and Broncos Defense

Packer Struggle on Defense

The Packers’ defense has been a bit of a disappointment this season. They are ranked 23rd in the NFL in points allowed and 27th in total yards allowed. However, the Packers do have some talented players on defense, including linebacker Rashan Gary, cornerback Jaire Alexander, and safety Adrian Amos. Gary is one of the most dynamic pass rushers in the NFL. Alexander is one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Amos is a versatile safety who can play in the box or deep.

Broncos’ Defense

The Broncos’ defense has also been a bit of a mixed bag this season. They are ranked 16th in the NFL in points allowed and 17th in total yards allowed. However, the Broncos do have some playmakers on defense, including defensive tackle D.J. Jones, linebacker Bradley Chubb, and safety Justin Simmons. Jones is a disruptive force in the middle of the defensive line. Chubb is one of the best pass rushers in the league. Simmons is a versatile safety who can play in the box or deep.

Packer vs Broncos Game Prediction

All in all, this game is expected to be a close one, as both teams are evenly matched. However, the Packers have a slight edge in experience and talent. Therefore, I predict the Packers will win this game 24-20.
