Yesterday, we appealed to the Kings of the Over to help bring us a Parlay victory. As such, we built our same-game parlay around the Kings of the Over and left our fate in their capable hands.
Last night, the Kings of the Over – the McDavids of the North – did their part: the Edmonton Oilers won game two and covered the spread as predicted. The McDavids even scored five goals in the process.
However, the usurping threat from the Golden Knights didn’t amount to much, as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-1, hitting the under. And as you know, we always pick the Oilers to hit the over, but we do need their opposition to contribute to hitting the number.
With that loss, we end the week with a 1-6 record on individual parlays but a 13-8 record on individual picks.
However, we’re undeterred and have stolen our Parlay Championship Belt because when you divide 12 by 3, you get four, and we’re counting those four groups of three as parlay victories and believe we’ve won the week!!!
Our current title reign might be somewhat illegitimate, but we’re fighting champions and will rightfully win our championship back with Sunday’s all-moneyline multi-game parlay.
Dallas Stars over Seattle Kraken (-149)
The Dallas Stars looked like the better team, while Joe Pavelski scored again in the Stars’ 4-2 win over the Seattle Kraken in game two.
Game three might be in Seattle, but we expect more of the same from the Dallas Stars.
Dallas holds a 3-2 head-to-head series lead, with both of Seattle’s wins coming in overtime.
While the Kraken have the more efficient penalty-kill, the statistical matchup favors the Stars, who did score a powerplay goal in game two.
We’re taking the Dallas Stars to win game three.
Florida Panthers over Toronto Maple Leafs (+105)
As you know, the Toronto Maple Leafs suck, as a general rule. With their second-round opponent unclear, Leafs’ fans chanted, “we want Florida” in the streets of Toronto.
They wanted the smoke; they got the smoke. And the Florida Panthers are beating the Toronto Maple Leafs down in the process.
Sergei Bobrovsky has been outstanding since taking over for Alex Lyon, and the Panthers have won five straight games. Florida has the statistical advantage in goals for and against.
Toronto won both games in Florida this season, but that doesn’t matter: the Panthers are going to increase the pressure on the Leafs and take a 3-0 lead in the Series.
Boston Celtics over Philadelphia 76ers (-141)
Joel Embiid is clearly not right, and the Boston Celtics had much better performances in games two and three. The Celtics hold a 5-2 lead in the head-to-head season series and are 2-1 this season in Philly.
The 76ers have a 31-13 record on the road, while the Celtics have a 28-17 record on the road.
The 76ers need to win this game, but the Celtics shouldn’t lose to a team relying on a hobbled superstar.
We’re taking the Celtics to win and push the 76ers to the brink of elimination.
