Evo 2023: NinjaKilla Becomes Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate Champion

Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate concludes with gamer prodigy, NinjaKilla breaking a remarkable record to claim the crown.

We have just finished Day one of Evo 2023, as well as Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, and already we have seen something spectacular. What fighting game were you watching the most of day one? Well, whatever game it was, we hope you had an amazing time watching. But, if you were tuning in to Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, we know for a fact you did. But if you weren’t able to because you were too busy watching another game, you missed out on something that’s incredible. It’s so incredible, that it’s never been done in the history of Mortal Kombat 11

But before we move on to that, you need to know a little about Evo 2023’s Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate champion, NinjaKilla. Jarrad “NinjaKilla212” Gooden is a fighting game player whose primary game is Mortal Kombat titles. He is a fighting game content creator who currently represents Console Gaming League. His favourite characters, or mains are of those of which have fighting styles that heavily resemble the iconic, Bruce Lee. Therefore, he uses the likes of Liu Kang. However, for the Evo 2023 tournament, he, along with his opponent were both using Fujin.

As mentioned, NinjaKilla is Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate champion and this became the conclusion of such a great era in the instalment because this becomes the final tournament for the game. Therefore, from now on, tournaments will be in the era of the next instalment being Mortal Kombat 1 of course. But the biggest buzz of this victory is that NinjaKilla went through beating Chilean twin brothers named ScorpionProcs and FgcNicolas to win, as this is the first time anyone has ever done it in Mortal Kombat 11 history.

It went down to the wire in the final between NinjaKilla and FgcNicolas with the game being 2-2 and in the final game with both players winning a round and it went to the final round with winner take all. To end it, FgcNicolas performed his fatal blow on NinjaKilla and making both players edging towards knockout. But as things were looking bad for NinjaKilla, he managed to execute his own fatal blow, and his one manager to finish of FgcNicolas, because his health was low enough, which sealed the deal.

The series ended 3-2 with NinjaKilla and FgcNicolas hugging each other and NinjaKilla then reaching over to the friends and fans and received his reward. This was met Will social media going into a frenzy. Especially with friend and fellow gaming prodigy, SonicFox tweeting his happiness, as well as claiming that he texted NinjaKilla when it went to the last four, giving him tips on how to beat the twins. And is seemed to have worked, what do you guys think?

This was indeed a fine ending to the era of Mortal Kombat 11, and we cannot wait to enter a new era of Mortal Kombat 1 from next month. As well as play the beta in just under a couple of weeks. That’s Day One done and dusted, time to you guys to get some rest and prepare for Day Two. And as of yesterday, the times are still the same. Here’s the schedule for more information.
