Gripper, A Title Inspired By Anime Like Akira, Speeds Onto PC And Switch This Month

There’s nothing like the feel of a motorcycle’s engine roaring. Jump onto the leather seat as the Gripper and save your family.

One should never turn their back on Family. And that’s what the character None, a cyberpunk biker, has decided. In Gripper, from developer Heart Core, one must venture through a post-apocalyptic world, and rebuild the family that the biker once had. But will his super-powered bike and trusty grappling hook be enough to find everyone?

It will take some finesse to master the movements of this special bike. There might be a grappling hook allowing None to rip the hearts out of machines, but such things are always easier said than done. The Gripper is no ordinary bike and riding it into battle will remind you of this. Using the hook, however, one might be able to master the movements required and destroy every robot that stand in None’s way of reuniting with his family.

Whether you want to toss explosives at enemies, or rip them apart piece by piece, the choice is yours. And don’t worry about whether or not None is strong enough to take on certain enemies. Defeating bosses will reward the player with upgrades, which Kat-Kit, the sentient cat plushie will help with.

Are you ready for the bullet hell that awaits? Gripper is set to release on March 29th, 2023 to PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch for $19.99.
