The Hierophant, a 5e Class

Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild

Cleric got you down? Make way for the Hierophant, your new clerical alternative, complete with heals and absolute zealotry. The Hierophant offers alternative, non-spell based healing, fits any alignment, and creates immense role playing opportunities for the more deity-focused character. Play as a zealotous warrior suffused with divine energy, a hermetic healer, a spell-slinging angel, or any number of divine archetypes, beyond both spell slots and narrow party roles.

Or, you know, play as a Cleric that doesn't need to spam all their spells to heal that idiot who won't stop getting flanked by every monster on the map.

The Hierophant comes with four subclasses, or "Chapters": the Evangelist, a proselytizing priest who can do damage by talking to people, the Inquisitor, a lone, adaptable agent doing whatever is necessary to win, the Mendicant, the ultimate healer, and the Templar, the war priest you've always wanted to smash fiends with.

Like the Hierophant? Try the classes below as well! Each provides a similiar level of customization and unique playstyle:

  • Bloodmage
  • Elemental Scion
  • Felknight
  • Mutationist
  • Psionic Warrior
  • Revenant
  • Vagabond
  • Warlord
  • Witch
Want to try them all? Save big on the Alternative Class Pack Bundle!
