Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord in one day brought together 100 thousand players

After a long wait, the medieval rider simulator Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord finally came out, and players are already flocking to the Middle Ages.

The sequel is currently Steam’s largest new launch of 2020.

The role-playing game “Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord” was one of our most anticipated since it was announced back in 2012, and seven years later it finally went into early access.

This is a game in which you can roam the world, engage in fights, besiege castles, get involved in managing the empire, and when you are ready to get on your feet and start a family. You can also stagger and kill your playmates in four multiplayer modes, with or without armies.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord boasts nearly two hundred thousand players

Currently, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord boasts nearly two hundred thousand players at a time. The game has firmly entered the top ten Steam, along with such constant favorites as “Rainbow Six Siege” and “Grand Theft Auto V”.

2020 has already brought a lot of competition on Steam. 104 thousand people play Doom Eternal, but Mount & Blade 2 has already surpassed the opponent. Of course, many people are now stuck at home due to quarantine, but the number of players is likely to grow even higher in the future.

In addition to the release a day earlier, Mount & Blade 2 will also be available at a 10% discount during the first two weeks of sale. Anyone who owns the previous part will be eligible for an additional 10% discount in some digital stores. The reason of that? Coronavirus, of course.

The campaign is a new addition to the series, introducing a more structured approach to the traditional Mount & Blade experience. It combines the storyline and key events with the more familiar gameplay in the sandbox, which gives you clear goals and objectives on the way to victory. However, you can always ignore campaign missions and start a random battle.

In terms of multiplayer games, there are four different game modes: Skirmish, Captain, Team Deathmatch and Siege. The developer claims that he will continue to introduce new features, game modes and other additional content for multiplayer games throughout the life of Mount & Blade 2 in the early access.

If you want to see everything that the game has to offer, the creator offers to postpone its passage until full release.

In any case, the developers are already quite happy with the results.

TaleWorlds announced

TaleWorlds announced that the early access of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will begin 24 hours earlier – not on March 31, but on the 30th.

The developers remotely managed to successfully complete the final build of the project’s early access just before the deadline, which they talked about on the Steam blog. However, according to the representative of the studio, not everyone in the world is so lucky – not everyone can work remotely.

That is why the team went to meet all the fans, announcing a 10% discount on role-playing action for the first 14 days after the start of early access. Moreover, owners of any of the previous parts of Mount & Blade will be able to increase the discount up to 20%.
