CoinPoker.com , a blockchain based poker-room, has taken up the responsibility of the official sponsor of 2018’s Asian Poker Tour. The brand will not only be sponsoring various events in different countries but also the Players Party. Apart from this, Coin.poker.com will also run qualifiers for the seats for different tour’s event. The news was surfaced by an official announcement by CoinPoker.com it themselves.

Obviously, CoinPoker’s loyals will get an opportunity to play in APT tournaments including the Main Event. Players can also use the site’s cryptocurrency, CoinPoker, to buy APT event seats throughout the tournament.  A point in the press release read the initiative as ““a progressive step towards the adoption of blockchain solutions in the poker industry”.

APT General Manager Lloyd Fontillas also addressed the association with affirmation by saying,”  “APT event players will now be able to buy in and cash out using CHP, the cryptocurrency developed by and used on CoinPoker” before adding, “With the sponsorship, CoinPoker will offer players around the world online satellite packages to APT Main and Super High Roller events. As well as other tournaments, giving players the opportunity to win APT tournament credits that can be used at any APT event.”

The rollout of the first online satellites for the 10 seats and packages to the APT Main Event in Macau on April 28th is going to start in a couple of days.

There are three Apt Main Event Qualifiers which ensure; a FREEROLL on Sunday April 15^th offering 1 seat, a 4,000 CHP qualifier on Thursday 19^th April where several APT packages including accommodation, travel expenses and a Main Event seat will be up for grab. Finally, a 3,000 CHP qualifier on Sunday 22^nd April which will award several Main Event seats.

For any players who are still building their CHP bankroll, as well as the freeroll Main Event Qualifier there are also satellites to the other Main Event Qualifiers running on Friday 13^th and Saturday 15^th April. Check out the full satellite and qualifier schedule here.

It doesn’t end here since CoinPoker.com will be hosting their own APT events, with the  “CoinPoker Super High Rollers” event with a 200,000 HKD buy-in ($25k US) in Macau on Wednesday 25^th April, to be the first one.
