Fortnite Will No Longer Have Blind Loot Boxes In Save The World

Epic is making a significant change for Loot Boxes in its Save the World PvE mode. The developer has always kept Blind Loot Boxes out of the battle royale mode and it’s now doing the same thing for Save the World as well. Players will be able to see what they’ll get in a loot box prior to spending 50 V-Bucks on it.

The Save the World V-Buck Llamas are being ditched in favor of the new “X-Ray” Llamas. They will show players the contents of the loot boxes before they purchase it. This means that they don’t have to spend in-game currency, which is purchased using real money, on a set that they don’t want.

If they don’t like what the X-Ray Llama has to offer, they can just wait until the daily store refresh and there will then be a new selection. This move will be implemented with update v7.30. After this update arrives, any Llama available in the V-bucks store will first show its contents without requiring a purchase.

Epic has also clarified that the Llamas prices remain the same and that they can still be earned through gameplay. The price won’t change when the Llama upgrades, users can see the upgrade before they purchase, and any item can come from the cheapest Llama. So if they luck out, they could get the weapon they’re after in a 50 V-Buck Llama.
