Man Buys iPhone 6s, Receives Padlock Instead

iPhone6s-RoseGold-BackFront-HeroFish-PR-PRINTYou know what they say, if it is too good to be true, then it probably is. The same applies even more so to online deals, as you can never quite tell just what you are getting even though the seller might have his fair share of shiny stars for his online profile. Well, it looks like an Online Retailer known as 11street has assisted someone else to sell a 16GB Apple Iphone 6s to a Malaysian man, where the smartphone was sold for $736 after conversion – which is $50 cheaper than what one would pay for outside. Mr. Ng, the buyer, was dismayed whn he discovered a padlock instead of an iPhone 6s upon unboxing the package.

As with what any self-respecting, modern day online shopper would do upon experiencing the outrage of this “discovery”, Mr. Ng took to social media to vent his frustrations and complaints. He posted his situation on Facebook, and the online retailer, 11street, saw it within 24 hours – and promptly sent Mr. Ng a replacement. Thankfully, the escrow system utilized by 11street meant the seller did not receive the money as the buyer was obviously far from satisfied. All’s well that ends well, eh?

Somewhat akin to how purchasing a PS4 and receiving some rocks or towels in the box instead. Bummer!
