Sprint To Give Customers Free Roaming In Korea For Winter Olympics

Oddly enough Sprint had kept quiet throughout these promotions, leaving us to wonder if the carrier would eventually launch a similar plan for their customers. The good news is that they do have plans and have since announced it, which is more or less the same as what the other carriers offer, which is free roaming in Korea.

According to the carrier’s announcement, “Sprint wants customers traveling to South Korea for the 2018 Winter Games to share this amazing experience with their family and friends worry-free! Sprint customers will not run out of high-speed data nor will they suffer bill shock when returning home. With Sprint, customers don’t need to plan for international travel. It simply works around the world when they need it.”

This will be eligible for those travelling to South Korea between the 1st of February to the 18th of March. Customers will also have to be on a postpaid data plan, and it seems that all they have to do is arrive in the country, turn on their phones, and agree to the welcome message that greets them, following which a 7-day data pass will be activated (which would have otherwise cost $25). More details about Sprint’s plan can be found on its website.
