Registered developers have received iOS 9.3 beta 3 for testing. The beta firmware brings several new features that will make their way into the public release later this year. There are new 3D Touch shortcuts, Notes secured with Touch ID as well as a new Night Shift mode for blue light reduction. Verizon Wi-Fi calling is included as well.
The Night Shift feature is quite similar to Flux for Mac, it changes the display color temperature between sunset and sunrise so that reading the screen is much easier. The feature works on 64-bit devices only.
One important feature this new beta has is Verizon Wi-Fi calling. Big Red subscribers will finally be able to join their T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T counterparts in using Wi-Fi calling on their iPhones. This beta also fixes connection issues with T-Mobile.
Improvements to Apple Music have also been made in this latest update, it will provide users with the ability to add songs to My Music when songs are added to a playlist.
