Budget Android Handset LG Fortune Launched On Cricket

If you’re in the market for a secondary smartphone, one for your kids, or maybe something inexpensive for your employees to use, you might be interested to learn that LG has launched a new Budget Android Handset on Cricket’s network in the US in the form of the LG Fortune, which considering its price tag makes its name rather ironic.

Like we said this is a budget handset which means that you probably shouldn’t expect its specs to blow you away. This includes a 5-inch FWVGA display, and under the hood we are looking at a quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz, 16GB of native storage that can be expanded upon, a 5MP rear and front-facing camera combo, a 2,500mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

We’re not sure why a phone in this day and age would still launch with Marshmallow when Nougat is clearly the latest build of Android, but we guess given the phone’s hardware specs, perhaps it might not be up to task, or maybe LG decided that they will update it at a later date, but either way expect Marshmallow to run out of the box.

In terms of price, the LG Fortune will set customers back $90 and if you’d like to get your hands on it, head on over to Cricket’s website for the details.
