macOS 10.12.2 Will Reportedly Fix MacBook Pro Graphics Issue

Last month we reported that the new MacBook Pros were facing some graphics issues in which the laptop would just glitch out. Now obviously not all users are affected by it, but for those who are we can only imagine how annoying it must be. The good news is that Apple has a fix for the problem that will apparently be addressed in Macos 10.12.2.

This is apparently based on a response from Apple exec Craig Federighi who told an Apple customer that the macOS 10.12.2 beta contains the fix. The email reads, “Thanks for your note! We believe we have addressed all of these graphics issues in the latest beta of Sierra 10.12.2 (available at beta.apple.com). I hope that you enjoy your new MacBook Pro — it’s a fantastic machine!”

At the moment the email’s authenticity cannot be verified. However as noted by MacRumors, the style of the email seems to be in line with previous emails from Federighi, not to mention Apple execs do tend to reply to emails sent in by customers from time to time, so for him to reply to this email isn’t really that much of a stretch.

In any case macOS 10.12.2 is still in beta so if you don’t want to download the beta and check it out for yourself, you’ll just have to wait for its public release, which we’re not sure when that will be taking place.
