Experience Animated Storytelling Through Storiaverse App’s New “Read-Watch” Format

Storiaverse, the mobile entertainment platform connecting talented writers and animators from around the world, recently launched a first-of-its-kind Android app. The new app offers a unique, patent-pending “read-watch” format that enhances the reading experience with immersive animations.

Innovative Storytelling for the Digital Age

By combining multimedia storytelling with the classic joy of reading, Storiaverse provides a unique opportunity for writers, animators, and fans. The Storiaverse app transcends traditional entertainment with its blend of Animated video, audio, and text. Each story features a distinct style brought to life by an independent writer and animator who are empowered with creative freedom, resulting in a compelling and dynamic experience for users. Current stories in the app span a wide variety of genres including science fiction, fantasy, horror, mystery, comedy and more.

The co-founders behind Storiaverse have been committed to uplifting creators for over a decade with their previous companies FameBit (acquired by Google) and Podcorn (acquired by Audacy). The company has raised $2.5 million in funding to power Storiaverse’s mission.

Exciting IP Partnerships

In addition to giving more writers and animators a new platform to share their work, Storiaverse is amplifying established creators’ work through partnerships. The company has partnered with King Science, an independent animator with 13 million followers on TikTok, to feature the cartoon version of himself in an exclusive story that’s launching soon.

Storiaverse is also working with world leading book publisher HarperCollins Publishers. This exciting collaboration will adapt portions of several HarperCollins titles into the Storiaverse read-watch format by merging the worlds of literature and digital storytelling. Storiaverse plans to further diversify its content library through more partnerships of this kind.

Meanwhile, writers can submit their stories for consideration and if selected, will be paired with an animator to make their vision a reality. Animators can also apply to participate.

Enter the Storiaverse

You can find dozens of stories in the app right now, with new ones released every week. A few examples include:

  • A Night at the Park – A suspenseful mystery about fugitives who try to take shelter in the wrong house, written by award-winning short story author John M. Floyd and animated by Josh Ryba, who has worked on Ridley Scott’s series Raised by Wolves.
  • The End of the West – An exciting Western where the line between predator and prey becomes blurred, written by award-winning novelist Maxim Loskutoff and animated by Shahab Serwaty, an artist who has worked on TV series, films, and graphic novels.
  • The Kelpie – An inspiring fantasy about a young witch’s courage, written by Scottish writer Lindz McLeod and animated by Jonathan Fontaine, who has worked on movies like Disney’s Descendants.
  • A Last Taste – A wild sci-fi story about a space heist written by novelist Lyndsay Ely, who has contributed to books in the “Overwatch” series, and animated by Michael Winn, an animation instructor at Detroit’s The College for Creative Studies.
