The Future of Charging Tech and the Best Products

Overall, if there’s one main product that we all use on a daily basis, it would be Charging tech products as many of us own portable devices such as our smartphones, larger devices such as laptops too. With that said, these types of devices are going to eventually require recharging if you don’t already have them plugged into a charging electronic and that means you’re going to want to use some of the best charging electronics there are on the market. With that said, there are actually quite a few people that don’t know what the best types of charging electronics are to use with their portable devices.

Another thing is that they don’t know that their devices are compatible with certain fast charging technologies. For example, the new iPhone X and the iPhone 8 is able to use Power Delivery, and that means you can change them at a faster rate. It’s things like those and the charging electronic products that I’m going to go more into detail within this article. As it’s good to get the most out of your charging tech since most of the devices that we use every day require charging.

USB Wall Chargers

Of course, Wall chargers are the basis of charging our devices. Reasons for that is because they usually come with new devices that we purchase. Nearly all new smartphones come with a USB Wall Charger and they usually come with just a single port. Wall chargers are helpful in many ways, as they can charge our devices directly, they can recharge portable chargers and they can also power wireless chargers that can then change compatible wireless charging smartphones.

With that said, one thing about wall chargers that come with our devices is that a single port for charging can be quite limiting and that’s because we can have multiple devices that require charging at once. Another thing is special charging tech such as Quick Charge and USB-C are not present on your current wall charger.

Using wall charger with up to four ports such as the above Anker PowerPort 4 wall charger can be quite helpful as it offers powerful individual charging. Each of the four ports on this wall charger has a charging rate of 2.4A, and the max output is able to use a good amount of power at the same time. At the same time. Anker also has a 4-port wall charger that has a single port using Quick Charge for those that Quick Charge compatible devices.
Then there are USB charging stations. USB charging stations are a step above wall chargers and that’s because they have many more ports. We’re talking about 5-6 charging ports or even more than that too. Aukey, a popular brand on the market actually sells a 6-port charging station with two Quick Charge ports and so you’re able to charge two compatible devices at their max charging speed.

At the same time, there are also Surge Protectors that basically act as USB wall chargers now as they use USB charging ports within them. As a result, you don’t have to rely on wall chargers with a Surge Protector.

Portable Chargers

Portable chargers are a very fast growing charging electronic. The obvious reason for that is because they’re basically like using a wall charger that you can take anywhere with you. That said, there’s more to portable chargers than just being able to take them anywhere and that’s because there is a variety of them on the market.
There are one that is large and heavy that use lots of power, and the best part with the large and heavy ones is that they tend to use Power Delivery and Quick Charge so that you can very well charge even some compatible laptops at their max power while you’re on the move. Or you can go with some of the best type of power banks that are very small and slim that can basically fit into your pocket and charge your smartphone while you’re on the move.
Overall, being on-the-go while charging your devices is one of the best inventions ever as most of us use our smartphones a lot while we’re out and about. Then when we’re low on power, we get anxiety as we won’t be able to use our devices once it dies out. Portable chargers solve that problem.

Car Chargers

Now it might seem strange to place car charges on such a high pedestal but you have to understand that car chargers can be vital for charging your devices in this day and age. The first reason for that is because we spend a lot of time in our cars driving and that means you can charge your smartphone while driving. Another thing is that we spend a lot of our time on our portable devices and once you get to your car, your battery life might be ready to die out.

However, one of the best reasons to use a car charger is if you’re using a navigation app, and that’s because they use a lot of power. Imagine going to a location that you don’t know and then having your smartphone die. Once that happens, you’re in a location that you can’t navigate and overall, it’s a pretty bad situation to be in. That said, with car chargers, you can have your smartphone constantly charging and not have to worry about your smartphone running out of power.

Another surprising thing is that car charger these days are using Quick Charge and USB-C Power Delivery, both of which are quite powerful charging technologies.

Two of the Most Powerful charging Technologies

Two of the most used charging technologies on the market are known as Quick Charge and USB-C Power Delivery. Quick Charge is a very widespread charging tech that is now used with many of Android smartphones. The reason for that is because Quick Charge is from the Qualcomm, the company that is responsible for creating the Snapdragon processors that can be found on many Android smartphones. With Quick Charge, you just have to make sure that you’re smartphone is compatible with Quick Charge and you’re using a Quick Charge charging electronic.

Quick Charge is a powerful charging technology that basically increases the voltage during charging so you’re able to get a more stabilized charging speed. That said, the main flaw with Quick Charge is that it can’t be made universal for all portable devices and that’s because every device would have to use Qualcomm’s tech. Not all brands are willing to pay for that.

That’s where USB-C Power Delivery comes in. USB-C ins the new standard of charging and it’s being used with a lot of new smartphones now. To put it basically, if a new Android smartphone is still using Micro-USB, then it’s basically living in the past. With USB-C, there’s more powerful charging. In fact, there are large devices that use USB-C such as laptops and tablets too.

That’s because of Power Delivery. USB-C Power Delivery is basically a powerful form of charging, that can basically offer up 100W of power. This erases the need for a large power brick type of charging for laptops and instead, they can use a USB-C wall charger. Ther are quite a few smartphones on the market that use now using Power Delivery instead of Quick Charge, with the iPhone X and iPhone 8 being one of them. Another thing is that the new MacBook models are now starting to use Power Delivery too and that means you can very well use the same USB-C Power Delivery wall charger to charge your iPhone X and your MacBook.

Also, if you’re confused on how to use your USB-C wall charger with an iPhone X that uses Lightning, all you have to use is a USB-C to Lighting charging cable, to charge it at Power Delivery speeds.
