The Blackberry Priv has a different form factor than that of previous devices, only the 9800 series was similar to that of the Priv with the slide out keyboard. In this new video BlackBerry published it shows the build process with the assembly of all the different layers of the mechanism that makes this devices function. It does not include very little detail but it does a good job in giving some insight into what is under the hood of the device. Since I have yet to open the Priv to see what it is composed off it is interesting that BlackBerry put out this video to highlight the quality of the device. What was intriguing is when the video highlights the slide out mechanism. I’ve always wondered how they managed to get the all of those functions in a device that has a physical keyboard underneath and keep it at a slim and light weight. check out video below for yourself.
