Samsung J7+ to launch with dual camera system, unconfirmed Exynos processor

Samsung has had a great year so far. The company has released a few entry-level and flagship-grade phones that are impressive in both form and function. After releasing the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8, which was the first Phone in its portfolio to feature dual cameras, the company is now soon releasing its first mid-ranger with the dual-cameras.

The South Korean electronics giant will be soon launching the Galaxy J7+, which is said to be an upgraded version of the J7. The company’s J-series has been popular among emerging and developing markets, as they carry great batteries and decent internals as well. Like its predecessor, the J7+ will feature the same 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution and will also feature the same premium unibody full-metal design.

The phone’s most notable feature, the dual cameras, will consist of one primary 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and a secondary 5MP sensor with a n aperture of f/1.9. This will feature the Note 8’s Live Focus portrait mode that will allow the user to change the focus of the subject and background. Whether the phone’s camera will perform as well as the Note 8’s is yet to be seen, but considering the company’s affinity for mid-range cameras, this one will be no different. The phone will also feature an octa-core chipset, which has not been revealed by Samsung as of yet, but it is rumored to be the powerful 2.39GHz Exynos 7870 that was found on the J7 coupled with 4GB RAM.

Also, the phone will come with a 3,000mAh battery with 32GB of internal storage with expandability as well, via microSD. Quite surprisingly, the phone will also come with face-detection unlocking and a front-facing fingerprint sensor. There is dual-SIM support as well. With Android Nougat 7.1.1, the phone is expected to function smoothly. While there is no official word on when the phone will be released to the public, the news floating around the internet is that since the IFA is soon approaching, Samsung may reveal the handset then. The J7, otherwise known as the J7 Pro in the US, that the J7+ will be carrying a slightly heavy price tag and should be positioned around the $350 mark. The phone will have Bixby support and will most likely come with a dedicated Bixby button on the side.
