Honor Note 9 rumors: Dual-camera and 4,600 mAh battery, to launch in September

The successor to the Huawei Honor Note 8 is coming. Going by the latest leaks, the Honor Note 9 will be a decent upgrade with minimal bezels.

An image of the Honor Note 9 that surfaced on Chinese microblogging site Weibo suggests an impressive 4,600 Mah Battery, in addition to a 6B RAM and 64GB storage. This will also be the first Huawei device to be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 965 chipset.

In terms of pictures, the device will have a dual-camera setup with two 12MP sensors. The leaked image confirms an edge-to-edge bezel less display with curved edges.

Huawei fans will need to wait a month longer as there are speculations over the device reaching the market in September. It could be possibly introduced at the IFA that is scheduled to officially kick off on September 1 in Berlin. We will get more clarity on that as we approach the event.

The Honor Note 8 however launched around August in 2016. It was priced at 2,300 Yuan ($345) and featured a 6.6-inch Quad HD (2K) Super AMOLED display. It was powered by a Kirin 955 processor with Mali-T880GPU and 4GB of RAM.

The primary camera consisted of 13MP sensor with PDAF and dual tone LED flash, while the front camera had a 8MP wide-angle sensor. It ran on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and was backed by a 4500 mAh Battery.
