The Meizu M5c packs 3,000 mAh battery and new Flyme 6 OS

Meizu has launched a new smartphone under the M5 series called Meizu M5c. It comes pre-installed with the new Flyme 6 OS, the company’s next generation Android-based operating system.

The M5c is a mid-range device with a quad-core 1.3GHz processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB).

On the display front, you have a 5-inch screen with 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is further equipped with an 8MP rear camera, offering f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. There is a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calling.

Coming to the operating system, there is much the new Meizu’s Flyme 6 UI brings to the table. Not only it has a colorful and intuitive interface, it is powered by the company’s own One Mind AI engine that can adjust system performance according to user preference. The Flyme 6 also brings close to 400 new features and enhancements, many targeting gaming and photography addicts.

The M5c offers dual-SIM support and is armed with a decent 3,000 Mah Battery. For security, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back. Meizu is yet to make public the pricing and availability. Reports however state the device will be a budget offering. When it is launched, it will be available in black, gold, red, blue and pink color variants.
