Since 22 March some Android Apps have crashed immediately after loading.
This is due to system changes that occurred that caused an incompatibility with a Chrome powered system component called Android System Webview. This component allows Android apps to display web content.
Google has come to the party in a hurry and recommends we upgrade Android System Webview to at least version 89.0.4389.105 and also bring Chrome up to date.
To ensure these apps are up to date, head over to the Google Play Store and click on the button framed in red:
Click on “My apps and games”.
Locate Chrome and Android System Webview and click on Update.
It might not have worked in our case, but some users have reported removing the latest update of Android System Webview:
Been having issues with some #Android apps crashing in the last 30 minutes. If anyone else experiences this, uninstalling “Android System WebView” app through Google Play did the trick for me. pic.twitter.com/Ju2cyA83O5

That might have been only one bad patch released, it might still be the best idea to stay up to date with the latest updates.
