Make Money With These Smartphone Apps

Its Payback Time…

Using a mobile phone or tablet to catch up with your friends on social media or to download the latest app and game is about the norm these days. However, what if you wanted to do something more fundamental with a mobile app, what are your options? You’ve spent a ton of Money to get the phone and put apps on. What if the phone could put some cash back in your pocket?

You’re probably thinking, those apps can’t be trusted, they’re all a scam, probably run by criminals phishing for unsuspecting users personal information. We would have to agree with you that there are a few out there that you should definitely stay away from however, we will try to steer clear of those apps in this article.

Make Money With These Smartphone Apps – The Top 10

Receipt Hog – Receipts to Cash

The “money making app” has been around for some time now and has many different variants. Its premise is a simple one, you go about your normal shopping routine, but keep your receipts and when you get home take a picture and upload via the app. The developer refers to this as “Feeding the Hog” however, this is where it becomes more like a game which gives you the chance to win / earn money?

When “Feeding the Hog” you will see his belly grow and the more it grows the more you can earn. Rewards are varied with PayPal and Amazon gift cards on offer and the chance to have your last shopping-bill paid.

With a 4.4-star rating and over 500,000 installs via Google Play, Receipt Hog is certainly one of the more popular money making apps available.

Shpock boot sale & classifieds

This next app the oddly named Shpock, takes you back to a more traditional way of earning some extra money. We all have bits and pieces lying around our homes waiting to either be thrown away or if lucky be given away.

In that regard Shpock is not a new concept, the likes of Ebay and even certain Facebook groups have been around for years. However, this app is the epitome of that old expression “One man’s rubbish is another man’s gold”. The bonus or main selling points of this Android and iOS app are, there is no long winded registration process, selling or transaction fees at all. Furthermore, once you have a pic of that old phone or dress, you can have it on sale in less than 30 seconds.

In addition, if you don’t want the hassle of dealing with people from further afield, Shpock allows you to sell and search within your local area, which could mean dealing with postage fees is not required.

Make Money – Earn Free Cash

If you have experience with making money via apps, then you know that an awful lot of them will make you jump through hoops to get your earnings. The developer of this app claims to offer something different, they say that unlike their competitors they only require that you complete app based tasks such as watching videos, competing surveys and taking part in free trials.

If you’re looking for an app that gets straight to the point by paying you for your actions, then you have found one. You won’t be offered an Amazon gift card or a percentage off your next shop any earnings will simply be paid straight into your PayPal account.

With a 4.6-star rating and over 100,000 installs via Google Play, Make Money – Earn Free Cash is not a big player in the reward based app world. However, judging by its overwhelmingly positive user reviews it does stand a chance of becoming one.

iPoll – Make money on surveys

Would you consider yourself to be an opinionated person? IPoll will reward you for sharing those opinions when completing surveys. Earnings are varied and can come in the form of cash, gift cards, magazine subscriptions and even airline credits.

If you have 15-20 minutes spare per day to use iPoll and are prepared to tell the app a little about yourself. It will match you to specific surveys which are aimed at your gender, age and interests. Earnings are not high, you won’t be able to quit the Rat race however, earnings per completed survey can be varied with either a none cash reward or potential cash of between $1-10.

Available on both Android and iOS with over 1-million active users this is the biggest of the money making apps covered in this article so far.

Ebates Cash Back & Coupons

If you are always looking for a bargain and love to shop, Ebates, which is a cash back app offers you up to a massive 26% cash back. Having been around since 1998 with over 250-million happy customers this app is a relatively new feature of what was essentially one of the earliest cash back sites on the web.

The app allows you to search for deals with the best cash back offering and if you allow it to, will keep you updated on the prices of any product you are interested in purchasing. Whilst it does pay you to use this app, I consider it to be a money saving rather than a money making app.

Ebates is available on both Android and iOS with over 5-million active users, this app has by far the largest amount of active users I have seen so far.

Pact: Earn Cash for Exercising

As a regular gym goer and hoarder of money, I could not believe my eyes when I came across Pact! This app actually rewards you with money for sticking to a weight loss regimen and gym routine, to earn you simply set realistic goals both for exercise and the food you consume.

You will need to take pictures of your meals and have Pact connected to either a partner device like a Fitbit or Jawbone or apps like MyFitnessPal and MapMyRun. The user reviews I have read are mixed, it looks as though this app could be a little buggy however, due to its unique combination of fitness and earning potential I am willing to give it a try.

Pact is available on both iOS and the Android operating system with what looks like a combined user install amount of near 1-million.

Cash Gift – Free Gift Cards

Cash gift is yet another reward based money making app, basically you complete tasks like installing recommended apps and watching free ads. For your efforts you will receive cash rewards from $3 to $10 paid into your PayPal account. In addition, some tasks pay you with gift cards from Amazon and Google Play with varying values from $1 to $25.

The developer of Cash gift states that this app will unlock the door to “Free money every day” for its users. From what I can tell from user reviews on Google Play many of them are happy to say that this app actually does what the developer says it does.

Cash Gift has an overall rating of 4.8 out of a possible maximum 5-stars on Google play and has had somewhere in the region of 500,000 installs since its launch.

Rabadaba – Earn money be social

Phew, here’s something that seems rather unique, Rabadaba claims to be the world’s first social media app that rewards its users for adding content and being generally active. As a user you are paid for posting new content, voting, flagging inappropriate posts and of course sharing.

Any money that you earn will be done so in USD, the content that Rabadaba shows you is from various feeds of the latest viral content. You can filter the content you see with easy to use options so that you only post on and share topics that are of interest to you. Personally this app sounds almost too good to be true!

Rabadaba is a relatively new app and as such has not reached over 50,000 installs yet. Available on both Google Play and iOS I think this one has some potential be both engaging and provide a little extra pocket money.

Champcash Earn Money Free

Nothing is ever free in life, yet many app developers continue to state that you can earn free money by just installing their app! Seriously a reward based app is not giving you money for free because you have to complete an action to earn it.

Now that I have got that off my chest this app Champcash is a little different from the other reward apps I’ve seen in that it rewards you in two ways. One for viewing adverts and the other for recommending the app to your friends. Not only will you earn (an unspecified amount) for viewing the latest wares of advertisers, but if your friend’s sign up because you invited them.

You will earn commission on everything they earn …. Sounds almost like a pyramid scheme to me. Available on Google Play this app has had over 5-million installs since its inception

Clashot: Take pics, Make Money

Are you a budding amateur photographer? Is your mobile phone full to the brim with random pictures you decided to snap on the spur of the moment? Well now you can put those pics to could use and put them up for sale on Clashot!

Described by its developer as a photo-bank in your pocket, Clashot helps you earn cash by taking pictures and them selling them at depositphotos.com. However, it’s not as simple as snap and sell, each image you upload to Clashot will go through a moderation process, so it’s not as if you can simply take a picture of absolutely anything anywhere!

You can get your hands-on Clashot for free via both Google Play and iOS.

Final Thoughts

There were literally 1000s to choose from and not all we think offer genuine opportunities to earn.

If you were to ask us to recommend one app that offers a truly genuine opportunity to earn, one that could make a real difference to your life? We would have to say take a look at the final app on the list Clashot. It seems to offer those with an eye for a good picture the chance to earn real money.
