Whatsapp Introduces Status That Disappear After 24 Hours

Facebook has pulled another Snapchat through Whatsapp, introducing a different kind of Status. Since Monday, users can now post statuses that expire after 24 hours.

With the update,  you can now post stickers and GIFs as status.

Like the rest of the app, the feature is end to end encrypted.

WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum said in a blog post that the new version of Status is meant to coincide with the app’s eighth birthday, on February 24.

Facebook has been pulling many a snapchat these days. So much that team snapchat deleted their facebook account. Stories are coming to the whole facebook family. Instagram borrowed the feature last year, Facebook is testing the feature in Ireland right now..
