Telecel Data Bundles come in various options to suit your needs and wallet. You can choose from data only, social only, all the way to inclusive megachat bundles.
Telecel Data Bundles
Telecel is still offering the same data bundles they offered in 2013, and that is enough to say they are quite expensive. The bundles are valid for a month, but won’t last a minute in practice. You can access the bundles from *144#. The daily bundles are promotional, and do not fall in this category.
Telecel offers you 10MB for a dollar, and you get better value with the higher priced options. But that is not something anyone would recommend, though. Unless you still have your goat around and won’t be whatsapping anyone.
Telecel Social Media Bundles
Telecel also offers Facebook and Whatsapp bundles. The Social Media Bundles are priced at 35c, $1 and $2.85 for daily, weekly and monthly access to the services. The social media bundles cost about as much as what other operators will charge you, and are basically equal.
If you are the whatsapp person, you can keep using these. But that simply means goodbye to Instagram, Twitter and whatever snapchat is. And diggle.tech too.
Telecel Mega Chat Bundles
These bundles try to offer all round access to services, akin to Net One’s One Fusion. You can purchase them from *480#, just like the other social bundles.
The bundles offer voice, SMS, facebook, twitter and Whatsapp. Sadly, they do not offer general data. And that is where the bundles fall short of being great.
Telecel Daily Bundles
Telecel recently revamped their daily bundles, and in a good way this time. They reduced the amount of data offered on the bundles to 150MB for a dollar, and 500MB for $2. They backtracked, and now you get 300MB for your dollar and a gigabyte for two.
You will still need this bundles especially for downloads. They are the cheapest daily bundles currently on the market. The code for the daily data bundles is the special bundles menu, *470#.
Retired Bundles
Telecel retired the Night Shift bundles sometime in 2016, so do not expect off-peak discounts from the network. Their take on dream bundles was worth its salt while it existed, but telecel pulled the plug on the promotion.
Telecel does not offer opera mini bundles, that is an econet exclusive.
The Best Value
When all has been said, the daily bundles are the best data bundles you will get from Telecel. I am and always was against the notion of social media bundles, as they give a false sense of the internet. And oh, that is not good for competition..
