5G Network will be Available in 2019

In Barcelona, Telstra has laid out parts of its roadmap for the mobile evolution to 5G, announcing that its 5G network will go live in 2019 across major cities and what it’s calling a “number” of regional centers in 2019.

Telstra has announced that its hit peak lab speeds of up to 2 Gigabits per second (Gbps) using Qualcomm’s latest category 20 compatible modem, the Snapdragon X24.

Optus is going to lead the Australian market in the development and deployment of pre-5G and 5G technologies.

What is 5G

Telstra’s Gigabit LTE network which is served by the Netgear Nighthawk M1 hotspot, it can deliver up to 1000Mbps broadband. 5G networks will be the fifth generation of mobile network standards used worldwide. It will bring a radical upswing in data rates, both for download and upload. If you’re unsatisfying on today’s 4G network with functions such as video uploading, 5G should bring plenty of relief.

Any 5G devices

There are only 1Gbps-capable 4G devices such as the Telstra Nighthawk M1 router, Huawei E5788u-96a, as well as a number of compatible smartphone handsets. There are no devices could support 5G. The peak 2 Gigabits per second (Gbps) is work by using Qualcomm’s latest category 20 compatible modem, the Snapdragon X24. The 5G enabled devices may be come after Qualcomm’s new modem.
