As per previous announcements Samsung finally launched Galaxy A8+ (2018) in India. This smartphone is ready to compete with Onplus 5T, Nokia 8 and other smartphones at this price point. Highlights of this phone are 6 GB RAM, Infinity super AMOLED display, Dual Camera Setup for selfie, Bixby support, IP68 certificate etc. This mobile was initially unveiled in December. Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) is priced at Rs. 32990. It will go on sale from 20th January via Amazon India exclusively.
Performance:
2018 variant of Galaxy A8+ is powered by Samsung's Exynos 7885 octa-core processor. 2 cores are clocked at 2.2 GHz, while remaining 6 are clocked at 1.6 GHz. This octa-core unit is supported by 6 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 256 GB. A8+ is running on Android 7.1.1 operating system out of the box. Given processor and RAM combination will provide smooth multi-tasking and high end gaming.
Camera and Display:
For selfie lovers it comes with dual camera setup. One of the camera sensor on front is 16 MP with f/1.9 aperture size and another sensor is 8 MP with f/1.9 aperture size. This setup provides portrait effect in selfie. This setup will provide crisp and sharp images. It comes with Live Focus feature so that you can adjust the bokeh effect while capturing selfie. It comes with 16 MP camera with f/1.7 aperture at back panel to click images. Samsung Galaxy A8+ sports 6 inch Full-HD+ super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2220 pixels. Aspect ratio of display is 18.5:9.
Other:
4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port are the connectivity options available in latest Galaxy A8+. Dimensions of Galaxy A8+ are 159.9x75.7x8.3 mm, and weighs 191 grams. This smartphone is backed by 3500 mAh battery. Talking about sensors, it comes with almost all sensors i.e. accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. It also comes with IP68 certification, i.e. phone is water as well as dust resistance. It also features fingerprint scanner placed at back panel with camera.
