Xiaomi has launched Redmi 4 in India, which looks most promising Phone in budget in low budget range. It gives lot of great features as compared to other devices at this price point. 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage variant is priced 6999, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB model is priced 8999, while 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage variant is priced 10999. Most of the users are confuse and want to know that what are the pros and cons of this phone, here i have listed few positive and negative points of this phone.

Positive Features of Redmi 4:

Snapdragon 435 Processor (Octa-Core):
Redmi 4 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 435 processor, which is power efficient as well as thermal efficient. This smartphone is able to perform multi-tasking as well as high end gaming smoothly. If you will play high end games for more than 20 or 30 minutes than you might see few frame lag.

3 Different Affordable Variants: (Most Affordabe 4 GB RAM & 64 GB Storage)
Phone has different variants, hence you can choose 1 as per your need or as per your budget. Best thing about this phone is that it comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, hence you will never run out of storage. This is cheapest phone with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. If your budget is not that high, than you can go with other variants with low storage.

Features 2.5D Curved Glass Fingerprint Scanner:
As a positive feature it has 2.5D curved glass on display in all 3 variants, hence you are getting 2.D glass in just 6999. Company also stated that phone features corning gorilla glass but the version of this glass is not explained. Also all 3 variant comes with fingerprint scanner.

Massive 4100 mAh battery:
Xiaomi always focuses on battery, again this battery is massive to give a long lasting back-up. As per the reports you will get 2 days of battery back-up on this phone with moderate uses. If you are high end users, in that case also you will get around 1 and half day back up.

No Compromise with Sensors:
It features Gyroscope, Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor.

IR Sensor (IR blaster):
Again this Xiaomi phone also comes with Xiaomi's favorite IR sensor, hence you can use your phone as universal remote for TV, Set-top Box, AC, DVD, projector etc. It has an inbuilt app installed called Mi Remote.

Speaker:
It comes with single loud speaker, but audio output is much better as compare to other devices in the same price range.

Negative points about Redmi 4:

It comes with hybrid SIM slot:
If you want to use 2 SIM card, in that case you can not use SD card, i.e. you can't expand storage. At a time you can use either 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM with SD card.

No Fast Charging Support:
Again this phone does not comes with support of fast charging, we gets a standard charger inside box. It feature 4100 mAh battery which takes time to get fully charged. It might take around 2 hours to charge the phone.

Running on Marshmallow:
As most of the phones have got Nougat, but this phone is still running on Android Marshmallow. Preview of the Android 7.0 Nougat is available and you can install that but it is not stable. Hence i will suggest you not to install Nougat, while Marshmallow on this phone is much stable. Phone will get a stable update on Nougat very soon.

Display is HD:
Most of the phones are coming with full HD display i.e. 1080p while Redmi 4 comes with HD display i.e. 720p display. This could be a disappointment for some users. But for some users this is an advantage. Because performance of the phone becomes more smooth 720p display. For Snapdragon 435 processor 720p display is perfect to play high end games.

Cons of this phone are not so big, most of the users can ignore these points as these points are also helpful in providing smooth performance. Phone will get Nougat soon, it also have 64 GB variant where you don't need SD card
