The Acer Spin 7 is the sibling to the Swift 7 that has now become the world’s thinnest laptop. The Spin 7 as the name implies has a flexible screen that is built to rotate 360 degrees around its axis.

If you add an extra millimeter (yeah just 1mm) and a screen that is able to rotate as much as 360 degrees to the headline making machine – Acer Swift 7 – you’ll come up with another wonderful laptop known as the Acer Spin 7.

Quite Similar to Lenovo’s Yoga Series, the Spin 7 is however a more powerful machine, much slimmer and even lighter than the Yoga. It offers you so much flexibility as it can be flipped into tent mode and can also be folded into a tablet.

The Spin 7 has a 14-inch Full HD IPS touch screen and just like its sibling, the Spin 7 has an aluminum unibody that gives if a really premium finish. Inside this versatile aluminum machine is a powerful Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD Storage and no fan. The Acer Spin 7 has two USB Type-C ports and a headphone jack on its right hand side.

On the left hand side lies a power button and a volume rocker properly fitted for easy access when being used in Tablet mode.

The Spin 7 which measures 10.98mm is however is slightly thicker than its sibling by just 1 millimeter. At 1.2kg, it is important to say the Acer Spin 7 is a light weight, the more reason why it can be used as a tablet with so much ease.

The Acer Spin 7 also has a very wide, responsive and reliable touchpad just like the Swift 7. The touchpad is Microsoft Precision-certified and also has a keyboard very similar to that of the Sift 7.

The fully rotatable machine runs Windows 10 and promises an 8-hour battery life – enough to last a full working day.

The Acer Spin 7 will be available in October 2016 and prices will start at $1,199 and €1,299 in North America and Europe.

While the Acer Swift 7 might get all the headlines if not for any other thing, at least for being the World’s Thinnest Laptop, the Acer Spin 7 offers more flexibility and hybrid features with a more powerful processor, a touchscreen and a display that can rotate fully all at the cost of 1 extra millimeter.
