Samsung released the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in August this year and in just one month the phone took the title of the best-selling 5G smartphone. According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 captured 5% of the 5G smartphones market share in September 2020.

On the second position, Huawei P40 Pro has a 4.5% 5G smartphone market share. Along with Galaxy Note 20 ultra, two other Samsung devices are also in the top ten list. Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus was at 4th rank and Galaxy Note 20 was at 8th rank. Other than Samsung, all other top 5G smartphones which captured the largest market share were from Chinese firms.

Apple released its flagship iPhone 12 series of phones in November with 5G capability. When the new figures will be available, the list will look completely different for sure. Samsung will release the Galaxy S21 series to counter Apple iPhone 12 dominance.
