Samsung are possibly developing 360-degree camera

Back in March this year, Samsung have unveiled the new Gear 360 (2017) VR Camera alongside with the Galaxy S8. The camera offers true shooting in 4k resolution in 360-degree system, which will allow you to have true experience. Previously, the camera’s predecessor could only shoot 360-degree videos in nearly 4k resolution, which was not that impressive. Today, the device has been offered as a pre-order incentive to the Galaxy Note 8 customers.

It all seems that Samsung are preparing a new 360-degree camera. The trademark for the production is already filed by the company, named “360 Round”. This leak only suggest that the company are getting prepared for another VR camera launch. No further detailed info is available about this product right now.

The listing from the trademark also carries the model number for the 360 Round camera, the SM-R260. This also suggests that Samsung are developing a new camera, because the existing camera’s model number is SM-R210.

It is still unclear whether Samsung will unveil the Gear Round. Nothing has been confirmed by their side yet. They also might launch new products at the IFA 2017 event which will happen this week. Maybe, the company will reveal any further detail about the Gear Round at the event.
