In MS Office 2010 a new feature was introduced, that is called "office file validation" . it is used to block certain files coming from emails or other computers those may contain infection, so it was basically an added security layer by Microsoft,
because of this feature MS office started validating office 2003-2007 files , and other old version excel files, with builtin security center we are able to chose which file types we want to open with protected view and which one we want to block,

but sometime office file validation doesn't work work properly, and you stuck with the error,
Protected View: Office has detected a problem with this file. editing it may harm your computer. click for more details

After hours of searching solution for this error, finally found out a registry edit can resolve this error,
i tried it and worked, so i have made registry patch for non-techie people, you just need to run this registry file, according to which version of office you have 32/64 bit. i have tested it on excel 2013 , i can't confirm if it works on 2010.

Aftrer Download, close excel extract files and run file by double click on appropriate file 32/64bit .
Done, it wont show you this error anymore.
