How to invert colors on iPhone (4 Easy steps)

How to invert colors on iPhone running iOS 13 and later

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Accessibility.
  3. Tap Display and Text size.
  4. Now, toggle on either one of the following:
    • Smart invert: This smartly reverses the screen colors and gives exceptions to images, videos, and some apps with a dark interface.
    • Classic invert: This is the classic invert option we are used to. In this, all the colors in your iPhone display will appear inverted.

Turn on invert colors on iPhone running iOS 12 or older

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. Now, select Accessibility.
  4. Here, tap Display Accommodations.
  5. Tap Invert Colors.
  6. Now, toggle on either one of these options:
    • Smart Invert:
    • Classic Invert.

How to invert the colors on iPhone with a shortcut

Other than going through the previously mentioned steps every time, you can quickly turn on invert colors by using a shortcut.

On iOS 13 and later:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Accessibility.
  3. Select Accessibility Shortcut.
  4. Choose the type of invert option you want.
    You can choose either the smart or classic invert or both ones.

On iOS 12 and earlier:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Select Accessibility.
  4. Here, select Accessibility shortcut.

To access the Accessibility menu, triple tap the home button (on iPhones with a home button) or the side button (on iPhones with a notch) and select the invert color option you want.
