To keep prying eyes at bay, iPhone X hides the Previews of notifications on the Lock Screen. You need to use Face ID to reveal those alerts. Personally, I'm fine with this privacy feature as I don't want anyone to look into my stuff. But what if you have nothing to hide and find it inconvenient? Well, you have the option to always show Notification Previews on your iPhone X Lock screen.
iOS 11 allows you to customize notification previews on your iPhone X ideally. For instance, you can allow them to always show on LC or when your device is unlocked. And if you wish to keep them under the wraps, you can completely hide them.
How to Show Notification Previews on iPhone X Lock Screen
Step #1. Launch Settings on your iPhone X.
Step #2. Now, you need to tap on Notifications.
Step #3. Next, tap on Show Previews.
Step #4. Up next you have three options:
- Always: To show notification previews on the Lock screen.
- When Unlocked: To show notification previews when your device is unlocked.
- Never: To hide notification previews on the Lock screen.
You can select any of the three options depending on your need.
Select “Always” to show notification previews on LS.
That's it!
From now onwards, you will see a full preview of your notifications on the Lock screen. If you ever happen to change your mind and wish to offer some shield to your notifications for privacy, simply follow the same steps we have just talked about and then select Never in the end.
