Sony Launches the SRS-RA3000 Wireless Speaker, Priced
Sony has just unveiled the SRS-RA3000 wireless speaker equipped with the company’s unique spatial sound technologies and packed with smart features.
Unlike most speakers that spread sound horizontally, the Sony SRS-RA3000 spreads sound both horizontally and vertically with Immersive Audio Enhancement and Sony’s 360 Reality Audio to fill a room with sound.
The Immersive Audio Enhancement is based on the company’s algorithm that transforms 2-channel stereo tracks into ambient room-filling sound.
360 Reality Audio tracks, on the other hand, provide the best ambient room-filling experience as they incorporate three-dimensional sound location data. This is analyzed by the speaker to optimally allocate the sound tothe speaker’s structure effectively. This, however, can be enjoyed through compatible music streaming services (currently though Tidal is the only one listen on the website)
The speaker uses a full-range speaker to achieve an omnidirectional sound with deep bass. It includes an omni-diffuser that spreads sound throughout the room in every direction and a dual passive radiator for deep bass. Meanwhile, overlapping beam tweeters form a wavefront that goes upward.
As far as smart features go, it can analyze each track and play them at a consistent volume. In addition, it is also compatible with a Google Assistant-enabled device with Chromecast built-in and Amazon Alexa enabled devices for voice control. It can be grouped with multiple compatible devices for multi-room playback using the Google Home app or Amazon Alexa app.
The speaker can be connected via Bluetooth or play music directly via Spotify Connect and Chromecast on Wi-Fi. Additionally, the speaker is humidity-resistant it perfect to bring to relax while bathing or listening to your favorite songs while cooking. It isn’t waterproof though, so it should be further away from the water.
The Sony SRS-RA3000 has an SRP of PHP 15,999 but its exact arrival date in the Philippines has yet to be announced.
